"Service access for my parent"

About: Fitzroy Crossing Community Health Service

(as a service user),

Ever since the bayulu clinic closed when have had to go into the fitzoy hospital to see the bayulu doctor recently, we ring up and get the ALO to pick us up. The day of writing this my old parent was sick so they rung up, they said my parent can’t see the bayulu dr unless they have an appointment. No one ever said we need a appointment. Then they said that they wont even send the ALO if my parent doesn’t have an appointment. I feel this mob need to get their act together, that staff member in there didnt even seem to care that my parent was paining.

Dear mayem34

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I am very sorry to hear that your experience calling for help left you feeling as though our staff did not care for your parent. That is not what we want for our community and we would like to know more so we can ensure this does not happen again.

Could you please call our Primary Health Manager in Fitzroy Crossing Community Health, Erica Sykes on 08 9166 1727 or email her on Erica.Sykes@health.wa.gov.au or please pop in and talk to her about what happened so she can help us do better? Erica is aware of your story and waiting to hear from you.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful festive season

Thank you

Kato Matthews
