"WACHS South West - Exceptional Care"

I presented to Busselton Health Campus ED with right lower abdominal pain, I was diagnosed and treated in a prompt and proficient manner and transferred to Bunbury Regional Hospital for emergency surgery.

Although it was a somewhat frightening situation for myself and my family, the nurses and doctors, particularly at Busselton were outstanding! Going out of their way to support my husband and I every step of the way by prioritising our understanding of the situation and including us in decision making.

The staff at Bunbury were also incredible I was seen by the specialist registrar (who I felt was amazing!) almost immediately and was promptly taken to theatre for an emergency procedure. I have now made a full recovery and it is with thanks, appreciation and admiration of the expertise and professionalism of the health service staff of both Busselton & Bunbury. We are  eternally grateful for the high standard of care and patient advocacy shown to us on that day and we can't thank you all enough.

In my opinion, the community of the South West are very lucky to have such phenomenal Nurses and Doctors to care for us all. Also a special mention to the ST John Ambulance crew that got me to Bunbury safely & also demonstrated outstanding knowledge, care and professionalism. I think you are all remarkable!
