I had heard many mixed reviews about Bunbury regional and am so happy that my experience was a good one. The doctors, midwives and all the support staff in between that I saw were welcoming, informative and simply nice people to be on the care of. All my wishes were listened to and if something wasn’t able to go to plan they talked me through what was happening and did their best to make it as close to our plan as possible.
I got to have my new baby on me from 9.30 in the morning till 9 at night and even then, he was only taken off me to change his nappy.
All the care they took made me feel comfortable and anything that seemed undignified was approached with a smile and easy going feel. Not once did I feel uncomfortable with these lovely people.
If the midwives noticed anything I was doing that could be approached with from a different angle, they asked for permission before attempting to show me another way (such as how my new baby was feeding).
Thank you to all the wonderful staff I saw at the Bunbury regional hospital! My first birth experience was made a wonderful one in so many parts, thanks to you!
