"NDIS"

About: Kingsford Smith

(as a carer),

My partner has suffered from a chronic back pain after a work-related accident since 1999. They have been taking a maximum allowable dosage of pain killers for a number of years. Constant pain and the painkillers have created a lot of other problems and illnesses. My partner has had problems with kidneys, teeth, depression, limited mobility. They had a minor stroke and a heart attack. My partner is unable to walk more than 50 metres. They are officially disabled and I am their carer.

We've been trying to get access to NDIS five times! And five times our applications were rejected despite numerous medical and OT documents provided. And every time an application was rejected there was a different reason for it.

Seems to us that the NDIA law is so ambiguous that any reason for rejection can be made on the spot.

My partner feels betrayed by this service - a helpless invalid without any help.
