"Horrible experience"

About: The Prince Charles Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I took myself to emergency in the early hours of the morning. I waited patiently to be seen by a doctor which happened reasonably quickly but I was moved to the short stay unit and had to go for X-ray then for ultra sound and was told I would need to have some fluid drained I was told that it could not happen till later in the afternoon which was fine but to my disgust, nearly 12 hours later, they brought another person into the room I was in and pulled the curtains around and put a sign on the curtains saying COVID precautions not one person came to speak to me they just put the person in and put the sign up and walked away.

I went out to speak to them and they just said very rudely, I felt, that you can pick another bed then at which time I said this is not right I want to leave and they said you can just have another room in which I said why could you not have put the person with COVID in another room and in disgust I told them to remove the needle from my arm and left.

It just amazes me that COVID is this big bad thing but they seemed to have no regard of the fact that they could spread it. Very rude and disrespectful in my opinion. I will also be lodging a official complaint with the hospital and the medical board.
