"ED Musculoskeletal diversion clinic"

About: Rockingham General Hospital / Physiotherapy

(as a relative),

After being unable to get an urgent GP appointment for my husband recently we had no option but to go to ED. As expected in our state the department was very busy, but we fortunately met the criteria for the offer of a diversion from ED. My husband was seen and assessed by an advanced scope physiotherapist. The physiotherapist was amazing, very clear in her communication and explained our options. We opted to go through the diversional stream and have an assessment and treatment for the injury. We were incredibly grateful for this service, well done to the physiotherapy service and ED.

Dear julietkm98,

I thank you for taking the time to provide the above feedback. The Emergency Department Musculoskeletal Diversion Pathway is a new initiative and it is great to read that your experience was positive and in line with the aims of the pathway. The clinical teams are aware of your husband’s experience and your feedback and we wish him all the best with his recovery.

Kind regards

Kath Smith
