1st op was cancelled late last year due to no bed availability. Contacted recently for surgery which went ahead.
How can you congratulate so many people on the care, consideration shown to me whilst at RPH. The staff at Ward 6G especially Racheal and CC the doctors (very polite) answered all questions. I transferred to Transit Lounge next morning and the volunteer lady was so attentive and happy it was brilliant. I cannot thank RPH enough for there excellent attention and Goderich Street where my husband has had to attend was also very efficient and staff friendly. I find people who complain may need to have a closer look at our overworked hospitals and staff. Some people comment on how rundown it is, I feel maybe they should take a closer look at other facilities here and overseas before they seemingly take a swipe at what we have. In my opinion, it is a hospital not a 5 star hotel if you want that get private insurance! I have been in private hospital care and can tell that the care and respect I recall shown a RPH is exeptional and I believe maybe people who live in glass houses should be careful where they throw stones. I feel we live in a society that spend far too much time carrying on about what they do not have instead of appreciating what we do have.
Thanks again RPH for your fabulous service to our community and hope you are around for many years to come, so other people can appreciate the wonderful work I feel this hospital and staff do everyday.
