My mum recently had an appointment at RACE in the Joondalup Hospital. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly clerk and before we could sit down a lovely nurse called us in. We were there for 3hrs ,which flew by, because mum was visited in the one room by the nurse (initial consult), followed by a doctor, physio, a social worker and the nurse to draw bloods.
Everyone we saw were so kind and gentle with mum and treated her as if she were their own mother. They were so caring and gentle with her and listened carefully to her problems. There was no feeling of being rushed or of just being a faceless patient. Mum was asked by everyone she saw if she had more questions or if she needed more help. It was a privilege to be there to see them work as a well coordinated team. They all showed mum the respect and love for the elderly. Thank you so much for looking after my mum.
