"Visit to Sydney Eye hospital Emergency"

Attended Sydney Eye Hospital with a foreign body in my eye. Having tried to solve it over the last few days I wanted professional help to sort it. As I have had other unrelated issues with that eye in the past I was careful about who I wanted to deal with it.

Having attended Emergency departments in the past I had no expectation it would be a short experience.

On arrival I was greeted by someone at the door who organised me to see the Triage nurse straight away. The nurse did a brief examination then a simple procedure which ended up clearing the foreign body which had become lodged under my eyelid.

Despite me feeling it had been dealt with I was asked to also see the nurse and doctor to ensure there were no other complications. I saw each of these in turn to check my eyes and general health. The doctor checked for any damage to the eye. Everyone I had dealings with were very thorough and professional. I only waited about 10 minutes between seeing each of them.

I commend the staff at the hospital and feel lucky we have a system that has such professionals and provides such good medical treatment.
