I had my first baby using the MGP services at KEMH.
I had Maddy looked after me though the pregnancy and then Celeste and Jacinta during labour and after care. These 3 women had passion, care and were very competent to provide us with the support we needed as a first pregnancy and parenthood.
During labour, I felt so supported and encouraged by the midwives. They worked closely as a team with the doctors. The doctors only intervening if needed. I am normally an anxious person, I felt confident and calm during labour and I believe that the quality of staff at KEMH was a contributing factor.
We loved having the continuity of care at home, it felt personable. We’ve learned a lot in all those visits.
The experience was fantastic and I would recommend their services. It was very good to see the same person throughout the pregnancy and to have access to your midwife a phone call away.
"Personable care"
