"Care at Kwelena Step Up Step Down"

I stayed at Kwelena Step Up Step Down Facility early last year. From the time of my referral, at my interview with Sue the nurse and a Worker, during my stay of four weeks until the end, I was treated with utmost care and compassion and motivated by my key worker ( Pets) and other staff.

Everything was explained to me in the initial interview. I was nervous but able to fake it until I was able to genuinely put in the work to achieve goals I wanted to achieve.

Basically, I feel Kwelena should not be confused with Hospital otherwise staying there is a waste of time.

After feeling shutdown for atleast a week, the patience of the staff assisted me to work on myself. I felt safe and nurtured throughout my stay and was able to engage in groups, one to one help, as well as some personal time.
