"Fabulous care in Derby Hospital"

(as a parent/guardian),

Our daughter was admitted to Derby hospital as a day case for dental care. From our first arrival, we were welcomed and attended to by caring and friendly staff. The nervous child (and her mother!) were put at ease in a relaxed and age-appropriate way.

All staff I dealt with including kitchen and cleaning staff were friendly and professional. The theatre and recovery staff were engaging, skilled and prepared to deal with children, including when there was a surprise difficulty with the anaesthetic. She was closely observed and we went home later that afternoon. Thank you to all the excellent staff at Derby Hospital.

Patient care is important to us, your kind words echo our staffs’ commitment to providing the best care which includes family involvement, ensuring a positive, child friendly atmosphere is promoted at a somewhat difficult or overwhelming time.

This is wonderful recognition of how hard our staff are working and that all the little things they do can make someone’s stay a more comfortable and pleasant experience.

Your feedback has been passed onto the staff and they are appreciative to hear their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
