"Bad service"

About: Bridgetown Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

I had the misfortune to attend Bridgetown ED with my parent.

We went to the department as the surgery advised us to go and they said there might be a wait - which was fine as expected in any hospital.

On entering met by 2 staff that introduced themselves. They greeted us rudely as "What is your emergency”- I felt they said this in a condescending tone.

Explained surgery said to come etc. We did wait which we were not upset about. The 2 nurses left us and we could hear their conversations which is what disgusted us. They were making very negative comments about their colleagues. It was pretty disgusting what we had heard.

In my opinion, it’s disgusting the way they are bullying other staff by the sounds of it. We now to go to another hospital if we need assistance to try to avoid those staff.

We told that hospital's ED who enquired why we went to them instead of Bridgetown ED, who informed us to put this on care opinion.
