Child appendicitis

(as a parent/guardian),

My child was diagnosed with an appendicitis. Although the day was crazy for ED staff they regularly apologised for the wait time. The nurses from walking into ED, until discharge time, were absolutely amazing!

My son and I were so very well looked after by everyone we saw. My son suffers from anxiety, and each question was answered with patience and kindness and for that I am very thankful. Made his first surgery a very calm one! 

Food was excellent, roomies were friendly, not one complaint . Thank you staff at GRH, appreciate all you do xxx

Thank you for taking the time to contact us on Care Opinion. I do hope your son has recovered from his surgery.

I was so pleased to read how the Geraldton Hospital team worked together to ensure that you and your son were treated with patience and kindness and were kept well informed of what was happening with your son's care throughout the stay. I am glad that the team were able to make your son feel calm in a time that would certainly cause some level of anxiety.

It was nice to note that your son had some friendly roomies to keep him company too. That always makes a hospital stay a little less stressful.
