"Transitional Care Program"

About: Inglewood & Districts Allied Health Inglewood & Districts Health Service Inglewood and Districts Transitional Care Program (TCP)

(as a service user),

My husband and I have both been in the care at Inglewood and Districts Health Service in the past couple of years. I have noticed a big difference in the last 16 months. IDHS has more services and can now provide all the care we need. The staff we have seen have been fantastic and my husband and I are so happy and grateful to have access to the TCP program.

It was music to our ears and a relief to know that my husband could recover and be comfortable.

The Occupational Therapist Emma was fantastic at communicating with us. Reece, Dallas and all the staff are very obliging to our changing needs.

The afternoon visiting hours are sometimes difficult for our family & we would appreciate being able to visit my husband at night.

The food was excellent, and we both appreciate having such wonderful local care.

I have also used the medical transport service at IDHS and it is an amazing service. I appreciated the time the volunteer drivers give to such an important service. I also enjoyed the social aspect of catching up with the volunteer driver, as we are previous colleagues. We are grateful for everything the staff do for us, thanks so much.

Dear triangulumyx66,

Firstly I wish to 'Thank you' for your feedback, the last few years have been very trying for health services and it is great to hear that IDHS has made progressions and improvements through these trying times. We have a significant focus on program expansion to ensure that the community can access the services they require close to home or access to required services is able to be facilitated.

We have passed on your thanks to Emma, Reece and Dallas and the broader team to ensure their great work does not go unnoticed.

I also acknowledge the visiting hours have been a challenge and this is something that we are looking to make changes to in the near future across IDHS services. In the event you or your family are an inpatient do not hesitate to reach out to our Nurse in Charge as we encourage families to be able to support their loved one at any time of the day/evening etc.

Kind Regards

April
