"MGP4/5 Leadup to Induction"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

Due to my ongoing appointments with my MGP midwife where my tummy was measured I was referred for a scan and monitoring where it was discovered my babies abdominal circumference had dropped slightly which could be due to my placenta starting to expire, from here I was referred to blue group doctors for more monitoring and the level of care was amazing, we felt in the best hands when we were recommended to have an induction to bring our baby out safely.

My midwife was there for the birth and it was so comforting having a familiar face in the room and to look after us after and take us to the room.

Dear pelicantk39,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience with the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS).

I am so pleased to hear that you received such wonderful care with our Midwifery Group Practice. It can be difficult when plans change, and I am so glad to hear that you felt so supported and cared for by both the medical and the midwifery teams during your unexpected induction and the birth of your baby. It’s also so nice to hear that having your MGP midwife with you for the birth was comforting for you. We’ll be sure to pass on your thanks to the MGP 4/5 team.

Once again, thank you for providing us with this great feedback. I wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Barbara Lourey

Nurse Midwife CoDirector
