"Fantastic care of our daughter with a snapped femur at PCH"

About: Perth Children's Hospital / Emergency Department Perth Children's Hospital / Ward 1B - Burns Unit St John Ambulance WA

(as a parent/guardian),

Naimh, Sari, Lisa, Phoebe, Leoni, Susie, Vino and all the wonderful caring nurses we saw who knew what to do to ease her pain and anxiety, and showed respect for my daughter’s choices - and, I felt, most importantly, asked questions before making judgments and decisions.

She was respected as the mature teenager that she is by all the staff who helped us - ambulance paramedics Kelly and Rachel, the kind and careful team who did her X-rays and MRI, the medical team who looked after her in ED, surgery and anaesthesia, Sam, Matt, Ash and Darren who were our friendly and communicative physios, Olivia our OT and Gemma from orthotics who fitted her leg brace.   We will go home feeling ready, calm and confident about her recovery and the outpatient support for us from the team at PCH.
