Hello, 

Hope you are doing well

Normally I don't complain but I want to mention something happens recently, just came with a patient (friend)  in Armadale emergency department.

My friend mistakenly (because of severe pain) sits infront of clinical nurse which is next to triage and clerk, they suppose to see triage nurse but I felt the clinical nurse treated patient very rudely and asked my friend to leave this chair and don't sit here in a seemingly very rude way.

My friend arrived recently here and they feel bit of racism.

There is no cost for being nice if you let them know.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Armadale Kalamunda Group (AKG) when you attended our Emergency Department recently to support a friend.

There is indeed no cost for being nice and our kindness and respect values were clearly not on display given your report of events.

I was really disappointed to read of this experience, particularly the unprofessional behaviour and unacceptable communication which you have mentioned.

I hope both you and your friend can accept my utmost apology and I can confirm that the most senior nurse in our emergency department feels the same as me about what happened.

We will be further reviewing our staff mannerisms in the triage area, and reminding all staff of the importance in demonstrating our values particularly kindness and respect.

I do hope your friend is recovering well and I am very grateful you got in touch so we could take action accordingly.
