"Emergency Department"

About: Sale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My teenage son had a pump track accident in Sale on his mountain bike, landing head first on the bitumen after a jump he didn’t land very well.  I witnessed the incident - and because head trauma was involved decided to take him to the emergency department.  Julie at triage was amazing.  The friendly ward clerk Olivia then took our details and after a very short wait Dr Pinkey examined my son. She then consulted with a senior doctor who also checked over my son, followed by Dr. Oscar.  The care we received was outstanding and the staff were friendly, competent and personable.  You should be proud of your staff.

Dear CPT_SC,

Thank you for sharing your story. When patients and families arrive in the ED, we know that prompt and friendly service is not only important in providing great medical care, but supporting you in your time of need.

It is great to hear that on your visit to the ED, the whole team was able to provide this level of care, with the help of Dr Oscar from our Surgical Team. I will be sure to pass on your feedback to the entire team.

Thank you again for sharing your story, I hope your son is recovering well and that he is back on his bike soon!

Kind Regards,

Tom Breakspear

Nurse Unit Manager, Emergency Department.
