"Bladder and incontinence"

About: Royal Hospital for Women / Physiotherapy Department

(as the patient),

Hello

My story  I was feeling so down as an older woman I did not understand my body at all and was referred by my doctor to the Amy-APP clinic and was also seen by physio Julia.

They were so lovely and very understanding and explained the physical and mental side of problems that can occur during our life time.

They taught me how to control the bladder and helped to fix the problem  I was having , and the dr and physio had  such  caring  attitude  towards me and how I was feeling,  made me feel at ease I would recommend them.

Great service for women as we often get embarrassed and don't want to see anyone so glad I was referred to the clinic made a big difference to my life.

Dear doradowq95

Thank you for sharing your experience of the Pelvic Floor Assessment Clinic, at the Royal Hospital for Women, where you saw physiotherapists, Amy and Julia.

We are pleased to hear the care you received helped improved your condition and made you feel heard and at ease.

It can be difficult to talk about bladder and bowel concerns, so it is wonderful to hear that you felt comfortable to have this conversation.

Well done getting your bladder under control again - that can certainly be hard work!

We will share your generous feedback with Julia and Amy and the rest of the Pelvic Floor Assessment Team who will be grateful to hear how the service made such an impact on you.

Kind regards

On behalf of

Hannah Graetz – Manager, Department of Physiotherapy
