"Coffee machine"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I went for treatment at MR Hospital after a having a bicycle accident and the staff their was exceptional and their attention to my injuries was very thorough and very friendly. All the staff I dealt with there showed a great sense of humour and did everything possible for my well being.

However, after having spent more than an hour there, I requested politely a cup of cappuccino , only for the staff to reply that they are unable to serve me a cuppa, because they do not have a coffee machine.

May I take the opportunity to suggest that the hospital gets provided with a coffee machine for the benefit of the hardworking staff and the well being of the patients.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story regarding your recent experience at the Margaret River Emergency Department.

I was so pleased to read that you found the care provided to be exceptional. I will have pleasure providing feedback to all the staff.

Unfortunately the hospital is currently not equipped to have a café onsite but drinking fountains are available. Once again thank you for providing feedback on your experience and allowing us the opportunity to improve the service we provide.

Hi Sally,

I was not suggesting that you build a cafe, but simply install or provide a coffee machine the type I believe we find in every waiting room or reception area.

Thank you for posting your response on Care Opinion.

While we would love to install a coffee machine in our waiting area, we simply do not have the room in our waiting area to safely do this.

This area is shared not only by our ED patients but pathology and allied health, so space is really at a premium!
