About: Lives Lived Well – Carinya Transition House (Wollongong)

(as a service user),

I lived at Carinya after completing The Watershed residential rehab program. I lived there from June 2022 till January 2023. 

Carinya taught me how to live again, how to cook and clean, manage my time and get my life back on track. Working individually with a case worker on my personal issues and having my own program to follow - including day group, gym, case sessions and other activities. I received assistance and advice throughout my court proceedings and received help on reaching out to other services that would be able to help me. I established a really strong support system. I was also assisted to obtain stable housing. 

I will be eternally grateful for the care and help I received while staying at Carinya. I highly recommend Carinya as a transition from residential rehab to reality.

Thanks for sharing your story. It is great to hear that the support you received while at Carinya taught you how to 'live again'! It sounds like you learnt a lot of skills while in program and are putting them into practice on a daily basis.
