"I went to Kerang District Health with a suspected UTI"

About: Kerang Hospital / Acute Ward

(as the patient),

I could not get an appointment to see my doctor for 3 weeks, so went to Kerang District Health. The nurse confirmed that it was a UTI gave me some antibiotics and said come back if there was a problem. Two days later I received a call from the hospital saying that I needed a different antibiotic for that problem. (which was good because I wasn't really any better).

The staff were all so helpful and kind and the follow up was so appreciated.

I have had two minor surgeries at Kerang District Health and the staff were always amazing and treated me like a person.

I know my infection was not life threatening (just very uncomfortable) but I feel these people should be recognized for their great work.

Hi cyclonezt64,

I am glad to hear follow up was provided and you were given a better course of antibiotic treatment. I hope things have improved for you since.

We are proud of the staff at Kerang District Health and the care provided to the community. Everyone is treated as an individual with dignity and respect, and we continually strive to be the best we can be.

regards,

Simon
