"Smell of the birth room"

About: Warren Hospital

(as the patient),

I went to my first midwife Appointment at warren district hospital. I went into the room with my new midwife and my partner. A staff member pre warned me that it smelt very bad of sewage. I went into the room and it did smell bad and it kind of smelt like gas. 

I need this to be rectified before I enter labour because I do not want to be smelling seemingly someone else’s waste whist trying to have a baby.

Dear guideeh55,

I would like to provide an update to your feedback regarding strong smell you experienced on your recent visit to birth suite.

The maintenance team have advised that plumbing vents on the roof are very low which allows the air-conditioning system to bring the odours into the hospital depending on wind direction for the day.

We are currently working on rectifying this and hope that it will resolve the issue.
