My husband and I just want to say big thank you to the two lovely nurses who visited us at our home - Susan and Sanjida.
They have been so patience with us and waited for half an hour just because we have forgotten our password for our phone google. We have our password written up but because we have too many passwords, too many accounts plus two phones just doesn't help. Susan and Sanjida have been very patience with us to set up password and install the RPM HF APP. Now the new password is highlighted and its now on our dining table.
My husband lives with chronic heart failure and many other medical conditions for many years and having these nurses reminding him regarding medication, oral fluid management, weight management, checking blood pressure, heart rate and everything else is very reassuring. I bought a chair for my husband to elevate his legs and he hasn't been using and now he has been reminded to use it daily. Susan has to even call the cardiologist during the home visit because my husband heart rate was low despite having a permanent pacemaker. Blood pressure machine kept showing error. We were even given new blood pressure machine, oximeter and extra batteries. They are checking my husband from head to toe and writing down every detail. It is probably their longest home visit. They don't even want any drinks when we offered them when they arrived till they leave.
We also want to extend our greatest gratitude to our dearest James and our Cardiologist Praveen whom have managed my husband heart failure all these years. We won't be where we are today without them.
Life is short but when we have such great responsible team of medical doctors and healthcare professionals makes the journey worth it. We do hope our government NSW health continue to invest and expand such community health services as there are lots of elderly patients with chronic heart failure who needs it.
