"Night trip to the ED"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was absolutely dreading having to go to the emergency room on a Saturday night, especially since the reason was very embarrassing. But I have to say the whole experience was made so easy and I wish you could tell all the staff working that night they do an amazing job!

When I spoke to the triage nurse, Grace, I felt care and concern and zero judgement. This meant the world to me. The registrar doctor (I can’t remember his name unfortunately) I saw later was warm and easy to talk to.

The best part was the whole process didn’t take anywhere as long as I thought.

Dear By the Coast,

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback about your positive experience in the Emergency Department (ED) of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Saturday. I understand it can be daunting for many patients when they are unwell and I was so pleased to read of the amazing job staff did that night.

We are fortunate to have very caring and professional staff within the ED who are committed to providing our patients with the best possible outcomes.

I will ensure that your feedback is shared with the relevant staff and in particular with the triage nurse Grace and the registrar who saw you.

Wishing you all the very best for the future.

Warm regards

Jodi Graham

Executive Director, SCGOPHCG
