"The care and support I received pre, post and during my recent breast cancer diagnosis and surgery"

About: Royal Hospital for Women / Macquarie Ward

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with breast cancer late last year and had surgery recently. I received care from both the NSW Women's Breast Centre and The Royal Hospital for Women - Macquarie ward, Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, Sydney NSW.

The service I received from both of these departments, including oncology care (Dr Alexander, Roneil and team), plastic surgery (Dr Nicholas and team), breast care nurses (Jenny, Gill and Yasmine) and all of the nurses working on the Macquarie Ward involved in my care post surgery was absolutely outstanding.

The empathy and professionalism displayed by each and every person and their team/s made my experience a positive one. I would highly recommend their services and care.

It is very good to hear that you had such a positive experience during your breast cancer care journey through all these departments. Our staff are highly specialised and work hard to provide compassionate and person-centred care, and we believe every patient deserves this high standard of care.

Your positive feedback is really valuable as we are always looking to ensure we provide the best possible patient care and experience.
