(as the patient),

Attended Geraldton Regional Hospital for extreme joint pain and was admitted immediately. After several tests my diabetes medication was altered and as a result I was put on to Insulin 4 times a day. I was then referred to Julie the Diabetes Educator and also Brooke who then basically took over my care. I cannot express my gratitude to Brooke enough, she helped me set up the Libra 2 monitoring system and kept an eye on me as far as my levels were with constant monitoring. As a result of her care my anxiety was relieved and I am now at a level that I can maintain with confidence in the use of the insulin. Once again my sincere thanks to Geraldton Regional Hospital, Julie and Brooke.

It is crucial to have patients well informed and comfortable with any changes on their healthcare journey. I am glad their dedication has relieved you of your anxiety and you feel confident to manage your insulin schedule.
