"Birthing at busselton hospital"

I cannot commend the maternity ward more highly for the care that we received recently with the birth of my baby in early March. Throughout our stay my husband and I felt that the midwives and staff went above and beyond to help us during this special transition. Thankyou especially to our amazing midwife Mel what an incredible woman who went above and beyond to help deliver our baby girl assisting me to stay calm and guide me through the end process.

Thankyou also to Peta our obstetrician on the day, Sarah and also to Pete for all of his kind care and reassurance from before the birth and caring for us afterwards. A special mention also to our student Tyra for helping us out too.

We were so impressed by everyone throughout our stay and were made to feel so comfortable and cared for- something so important in those early days. The ward had such beautiful new rooms and I think it is amazing that partners are able to stay overnight it really helps having an extra set of hands to navigate things in those early days. Thankyou again to all of the team for making our experience amazing- I feel this level of service and care should be a model for other maternity wards around the state.
