"Excellent care after d&c for miscarriage"

About: Armadale Hospital / Obstetrics & Gynaecology Outpatient Clinic

(as the patient),

I was seen by outpatient gynaecology armadale hospital where I was referred that day for my missed miscarriage after it hadn't passed for 2 weeks. I was on standby list but was seen and in surgery within 3 hours. My procedure was completed by Dr Basil and his team, I felt so well cared for through our the whole procedure and Dr Basil really felt empathetic throughout the process. The nurses in recovery consoled me when I woke up crying and the male nurse (geet?) on the 23 hour ward was greatly caring and compassionate throughout my stay as well when I had a fever and had to stay overnight on antibiotics. I felt my care was thorough and professional. Thank you

Dear apusyx95

Please may I express how incredibly sorry I am to read of your recent loss.

I was sad to read of the loss of your pregnancy.

I recognise also what an incredibly distressing and emotional time this was and will be for you.

Please may I also thank you for taking the time to share your experience despite these circumstances.

It is heart-warming to hear that you received care and compassion from our staff to support you through such a difficult time.

I will ensure that your kind words are shared with staff involved, to remind them of the compassion they continue to deliver despite such difficult events.

Kind regards

Neil Cowan

A/Executive Director
