"Positive experience at FSH"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital

(as the patient),

I had gallbladder surgery at Fiona Stanley Hospital. I am from remote WA and was very nervous about attending to have surgery in unfamiliar environment. The size of the hospital is overwhelming, including the number of people working there. However everyone I encountered, greeted me with a smile and friendly conversation. The care I received was truly impressive and very knowledgeable.

A big thanks to Dr Mo, Dr Michela, the theatre team and the short stay nursing and medical team. Even the afternoon orderly was a delight, she came to my bedside to have a chat and made me feel very comfortable.

It’s a credit to the organisation.

Dear Kini123,

Thank you for your kind words! I was especially happy to read that you experienced such friendly staff who showed true care, compassion and knowledge. I agree – Fiona Stanley Hospital is a very large site, and with over 6000 staff working here, it certainly does bustle! I’m glad you were greeted with friendly faces.

I have shared your feedback with Dr’s Mo, Michela, the Short Stay team and the Patient Support Services team, with my added thanks.

I hope you have recovered well, thank you again for your kind words.

Warm regards,

Neil Doverty
