"My son broke his arm"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Emergency Department Bunbury Hospital / Outpatients Clinic

(as a parent/guardian),

My son broke his arm recently but the pain was manageable until the second morning when we went to ED. ED was incredibly efficient, he was triaged and assessed and Xrayed without much wait time at all. Initially, the Xray looked all clear but his injured wrist was put into a brace.

Since then we have had a phone call to say it was a buckle fracture. We've had wonderful hand therapy input and referral to Orthopaedics for an appointment. There has been such attention to detail and care. The way my son has been treated so far has been second to none. I am a staff member and did not realise this wonderful service existed. Well done to Dr Jason, Barb and all involved.

Dear bracede44

Thank you for sharing your story on Care Opinion!

It’s wonderful to hear that your time at Bunbury Hospital Emergency Department, Orthopaedic Fracture Clinic and Hand clinic was such a good experience. We try hard to make every patient experience a good one but it is always nice to hear that we have achieved this. The hand clinic has just started so it is great to hear we are having such a positive experience already.

I will take great pleasure in sharing your feedback with our staff.

Kind Regards

Steven Elvy

Outpatient Manager - Bunbury
