"Seemingly Post Codes dictate what health service you have to attend"

About: Fremantle

(as the patient),

Referral from GP goes CRS (Central Referral Service)

CRS refers on to Healthcare Facilities within the catchment area, defined by postcode.

Decided to have a review privately, amazing consultation, interpretation of CT Chest; and documented report excellent.

The initial CT chest report from Western Diagnostics failed to identify enlarged HiLex lymph nodes

My local hospital's consultant who reviewed the referral and CT chest, decided I should a repeat CT 6 weeks after the first one.

According to the Thoracic Malignant nurse , my lung nodule is very small at 8mm, explained I had sought a specialist opinion and there is Helix node involvement, oh don’t be worried your nodule is very small.

The next week I have a PET scan which identified probable metastasis,

I believe anyone who is a client of a health care facility, must be able to choose a health care facility, regardless of post code, colour, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status .

Consumers/Clients have a right to feel safe , listened to and participate as a fully informed client, unfortunately my postcode dictated my referral went to Fiona Stanley, and triaged by a Respiratory Consultant, I believe the consultant read the initial CT Chest report and triaged accordingly.

The Consultant studied the CT and  requested a repeat CT 6 weeks later as per the Thoracic Malignant Nurse, 'the nodule should disappear'.

I do not ever want to be a consumer/client at my local hospital.

I am having panic/anxiety attacks because my post code dictates that I can only have chemo, radiotherapy at a health care facility that I feel has failed me
