Immediately after my husband was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year he was contacted by Kim, a SW Rural Cancer Nurse who has provided excellent information and support through various surgeries, and now 6 months of chemotherapy. Knowing the CN is only a phonecall away is very reassuring, often filling the gap between information received from various other practitioners involved, and the ability to retain, understand and apply such a breadth of detail in ongoing stressful and exhausting circumstances. Kim has also made arrangements for us and pointed us to services that we were unaware of. As my husband's carer I have found Kim's personable and upbeat disposition along with her professionalism and extensive nursing experience invaluable, contributing to more positive health outcomes, both physically and psychologically.
This service is of immense value to cancer patients and their carers throughout country WA.
Thank you!
