"Our mother's care"

About: Lyndoch Living

(as a relative),

Our parents both live in Lyndoch. Following steady decline with her dementia our dear mother passed away in hospital last week after a fall. She was 83 and we have felt the wonderful care provided for her in the Lyndoch dementia ward for the past year. We are so grateful to the Lyndoch staff for their care and support during this period. The staff we see are always kind and respectful to both our parents. Most importantly they have always kept us informed of any changes to their health and involved us in their care.

Our father has also lived at Lyndoch for a year after caring for our mother for as long as possible at home.  His health has improved since he moved in. At first he was quite reluctant to join activities but through gentle encouragement of the staff to join in he now enjoys the exercise and music groups. His mobility has improved as a result.

He now feels that this is his home and enjoys a pre-dinner drink with his mates and daily banter with the staff. The meals are lovely and well presented.

I feel we are very lucky to have this facility in our town.
