My Father had cancer and came to live with me, i contacted Bunbury Pallative Care and they came to visit my Father, they were very caring and supportive to both my Father and myself as it's a very difficult time when looking after someone who needs special care. I could not have looked after my Father at home if i did not have their support and help.
I was given a walker and shower chair with a hand held adjustment for the shower the very next day after the first visit plus i was given bandages for bed sores and anything else that was required for my dad's needs.
Also just being able to talk to someone who understands what you are going through and the best ways to deal with health issues that happen as we are not nurses and we do need that support. Without the Pallative Team we could not look after our loved ones at home and i think it is very important to have these wonderful caring team to help
