"I thought I was having a stroke"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I woke up, at home, thinking I was having a stroke..... Again.

I had one 6 yrs ago.

Thought I was healed enough to go back to work.

I called an Ambulance, was rushed in to FSH,  quickly & thoroughly looked at, by happy ,caring wonderful staff.

The staff & registered nurses ,Drs, were so loving & helpful, I just can't thank them enough.

I was given a private single room, how lucky am I.

Such care was given to me, unbelievable.

I'm lucky to be living in WA.

Our health system is fabulous.

After 2 full days, the MRI showed I'm healthy at least🙏.

Am now back home after a nice rest, lots of fun & laughter with the fabulous staff.

Wonderful  caring humans are working at Fiona Stanley. ❤️💯 Thankyou So much

Dear decemberhd97

Thank you for sharing your experience with us all here at Fiona Stanley Hospital! I must admit that with the opening line of “I woke up, at home, thinking I was having a stroke” I certainly did not expect to be having a little chuckle at the idea of your hospital stay being fun, full of laughter and restful! I know that is testament to the kind, caring and compassionate care I know our wonderful staff provide – and I am very proud of them.

I have shared your post with the teams that I think would have been involved in your care, with my added personal thanks.

I am glad to hear you are healthy now, and I hope that you stay that way!

Warm regards,

Neil Doverty.

Thanks Neil, you should be proud of them.

I'm glad I asked the ambulance to go back there again. 6 yrs ago I had a stroke.

I'm alive😃🤗🥳 Thanks to your staff
