"Chemotherapy treatment."

About: Kerang Hospital / Kerang Oncology Service

(as the patient),

Diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma I require 4 week on 1 week off courses of chemotherapy, indefinitely. I live half a block (3 min) from a large hospital, unfortunately they have no Oncology unit at the present time, which means I drive each week 45 min to Kerang Hospital which has a  very new well appointed Oncology unit. My annoyance with the 2hr trip to Kerang each week was more than compensated by the wonderful staff. Very friendly, efficient and informative. Which means I look forward to my trip each week. When my local hospital gets going again and I'm sure they will, it will be very hard to leave the staff and friends I have made in Kerang. I'm sure the local hopital will also have great staff. I will not mind if they do not get going for a while.
