"Becoming sober"

About: Lives Lived Well – Nowra (Nana Muru)

(as a service user),

My journey for sobriety has been a long challenging one. I had been engaged with nana muru for 3 weeks and it's had such a positive impact on my recovery already. Sylvia, Bell are incredible.

I've had a 14 year addiction with cannabis and roughly 6 year addiction with alcohol. The tools and knowledge they've provided me has had such a positive impact already and I can't wait to continue with the program when it starts back up.

By all means in not fully recovered from my addictions as I'm only 29 days sober, but I'm proud to say I'm trying my hardest and with the help of these guys at nana muru I feel every days getting better.

I've tried other programs such as the watershed at berkely (lives with well) but that wasn't the program I needed.

This day program with Nana muru has been what's right for me and I'm pleased I've met these guys. I would recommend anyone struggling to reach out, I was scared to commit to this program but they made me feel welcomed and accepted.

Kind regards, uniformfz99
