"Nurses & doctor care"

About: Boyup Brook Soldiers Memorial Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Contacted Boyupbrook hospital recently with major pain. Jackie the nightshift nurse told me to come in straight away if i could as i live out of town. I arrived to an amazing welcome and just general care from her. Run all obs did her job, got straight onto night shift doctor who took a few calls. After not answering she contacted someone else who can give out advice, sorry i dont know who this was. Unfortunately Jackie couldn't do much until a doctor arrived but she still made me feel cared for and i wasn't a problem. She continued to call doctor until he answered. Dr K, sorry dont know his full name, rushed in and observed and straight away gave me the drugs/ care i needed. My throat was that swollen. I had been to the doctors 2 days ago but the antibiotics and nurofen and panadol that i had to crush up to swallow weren't working, and i didnt want to rush in as i know how busy hospitals are. Im a very healthy woman generally and its very rare i need to go to a hospital.

After the doctor had made sure i was out of trouble and was ok he left to get back to bed, poor man. Jackie stayed with me to make sure i wasn't going to react to anything i was given and make sure everything was working which it was, thank gosh. Honestly i have a very high pain threshold but this was next level, should be used for torturing bad people ha ha.

She told me when to contact my pick up and when they arrived walked me out to make sure i was ok getting to the car.

My family are nurses and i completely understand how under paid I believe they are and how much pressure comes with the job especially when under staffed. This wasn't shown at all. I will be baking for the staff at the hospital to say thank you but honestly i dont feel this enough. I had no sleep and horrendous pain for 2 days and in a few hours 2 beautiful people sorted me out. Not enough hugs kisses and cuddles for them. So i can only get this sent to try and say thanks again. Thanks to our country hospital and our beautiful people working in them. I hope this encourages more nurses and doctors to move to the country, I believe we are blessed.

Jackie and Dr K thank you honestly i dont think you understand how greatful i am. Honestly to be pain free after 1 night in your care thank you really im lost for words. Thankyou Boyupbrook Hospital ❤️😍💖
