Discharged with seemingly inadequate pain relief. Was in for a day surgery to remove bone growth from previous Kwire surgery. Admissions was great, staff informative. Aesthetician consulted before surgery and procedure explained well. Post surgery was discharged with local aesthetic only and advised I may need Panadol. Local aesthetic wore off overnight and pain was ridiculous, I found panadol was inadequate to curb the throbbing pain I was in. No follow up consult or phone call was provided.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us following your recent admission to Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) for day surgery. I was really pleased to hear that your admission was such a positive one, you found the staff informative, and your surgery went well.

I was however very disappointed to hear of the pain you experienced overnight without sufficient pain killers and the lack of follow up care. Please be assured that we take your concerns very seriously and would like the opportunity to review your care and treatment to see if there are any opportunities for improvement.
