"Thankful for fast and kind nurses"

About: Kerang Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

On a recent evening, after speaking with a Nurse On Call nurse, it was recommended that I go to the Kerang Hospital as I had left arm pain and chest pain, which I thought maybe anxiety, but thought it best to have it checked.

I was quickly looked after by two kind and efficient nurses who connected me to the blood pressure and ECG machines, and did all the things they needed to do to check my heart.

All the tests came back clear, which was a huge relief, which my now lowered BP clearly indicated!

The nurses contacted a 'Doctor on call' service and a warm, kind and thoughtful doctor appeared on an iPad in front of me, calmly taking me through the results of all the tests and following it all up with a letter. The letter was sent to KDH five minutes later and I received a copy that night.

All in all, I can't thank the two KDH nurses and the on call doctor enough for their kindness, care and abilities. I was able to go home and rest, knowing all was well.

At KDH we are very proud of our caring nursing staff and the excellent level of care they provide for our patients. Our nursing staff are highly skilled, and are able to assess and investigate symptoms while awaiting further orders from the medical team via telehealth.

It is always best to get any chest pain investigated - I'm so pleased to hear that all of your results have come back clear.

I hope that you have managed to rest up and look forward to seeing you as a visitor next time.
