"Wonderful care"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Acute Medical Unit, Wards 5A &5B, AMAC (Acute Medical Ambulatory Centre) Fiona Stanley Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

Dr Christina, the nurses and the delightful bald headed orderly provided wonderful first rate care to my elderly mum at FSH recently. Dr Christina was caring, compassionate, thorough and gentle. She explained everything clearly and provided excellent care during an extremely busy shift with other emergencies taking place. The nurses, while run off their feet, made us feel like we were cared for. The orderly kept us entertained with his dad jokes everyone he went past helping to make our time in the ED more bearable. The care by the staff on 5A has been first rate. We cannot fault the care and want to say thank you for everything you’ve done for my mum.

Dear Pegasus,

Thank you for your kind words! I know that we provide wonderful care most of the time, but to hear evidence of it such as your post is always a boost.

I’ve shared your post with my ED and AMU colleagues, and they instantly knew that our Dad-joke telling orderly is Neil (not me) – apparently renowned for his eager delivery of terrible jokes. I’ll make sure he is aware of your appreciation for them.

I hope your Mum has recovered well.

Kind regards,

Neil Doverty.
