"Waking from anaesthetic early"

About: Kyneton Hospital / Perioperative Services

(as the patient),

I went to Kyneton Hospital last week for a day surgery. I was really happy with everything that happened except for one thing, while I was being operated on I was brought out from the anaesthetic too soon, as the doctor was still stitching me up. I was quite alarmed and said to the nurse “I can still feel that” and it felt like they gave me some needles to numb the pain. When it was finished I asked the Anesthetist why they brought me around early, and I recall they said that’s just how they do it here. This really worried me and didn’t feel right.

The staff were all organised and helpful. After care was great, I couldn’t ask for better everyone was friendly and kind.
