(as a relative),

My brother was added to Royal Perth Hospital ICU and later ward 9a.  The medical and nursing care he received was exemplary.   All aspects of care were communicated well.  The multidisciplinary team communicated and worked well towards his best outcomes.  His condition was monitored closely and any changes to the norm acted upon promptly.  I felt supported and valued.

I was very sorry to learn of your brother’s health episode that necessitated an admission to the Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and his transfer to Ward 9a, however it was lovely to read of the exemplary care your brother received from the medical and nursing team that cared for him during his stay. Communication is so important, and it was pleasing to read that you felt assured that his best interests were always at the forefront of his care and that you felt supported and valued as his concerned loved one. This must have been reassuring for both of you at what must have been a very stressful time.

It is very reassuring to hear that the staff at RPH are continually striving to provide high quality, patient centred care. I feel very fortunate to work with such dedicated and exceptional staff and am reminded of this when I read stories like yours on Care Opinion. I will take great delight in sharing your words of appreciation with those involved in his care. Thank you for taking the time to share your story.
