"CMP Homebirth"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Community Midwifery Program

(as a service user),

I joined CMP late at 34.5 weeks, as I couldn’t shake the feeling of wanting to homebirth. I’m so glad I did. I was accepted a few days later and had a midwife appointment at home a few days after that.

From my first appointment I knew I’d made the right decision and was very much at ease for the rest of my pregnancy. I felt supported in what I wanted with each appointment, and there was no pressure leading up to my birth which was 10 days passed my due date. I had an intense but amazing birth, just making it into the pool as it was still filling up. My daughter arrived 1 hour later and I was able to lift her up and onto my chest just as I had hoped for. The 2 midwives at my birth were amazing, as were the other 2 midwives I had also dealt with prior to my birth. I would highly recommend CMP to anyone! Thank you Steph, Malita, Wendy & Alice

Dear JMMG2123

Thank you for taking time to share your wonderful experience with us and congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I am so pleased that Community Midwifery Program (CMP) were able to not only accept you during the 3rd trimester of your pregnancy, but also support and provide you with the homebirth that you dearly longed for. I am sure that Steph, Malita, Wendy and Alice will appreciate your kind words and positivity about the care they provided to you.

Thanks again for this lovely feedback.

Kind regards

Delaney
