This is the second time we have needed to bring our toddler in for care following an acute asthma attack for assessment at BCH ED. 

I continue to be blown away by the genuine care and expertise provided to my little one.  I was particularly impressed by the Consultant who really listened to me as a mum. 

The Nurse Jodie was a highlight and actually was our nurse last presentation.  She was wonderful with him. The Junior Dr was totally dedicated to ensure our little guy had everything he needed. 

Possibly the best part was that the whole team were more than happy to seek advice from the paediatric team in Warragul if needed. No Ego, all safe effective health care. In my opinion, Brilliant staff, Brilliant department and a very happy family heading home knowing all is OK. 

I'm so proud of BCH and hope it continues to grow and recruit specialist staff, particularly in the paediatric service.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with such lovely feedback to the Wonthaggi ED team. My own daughter had childhood asthma and I understand completely how scary this whole scenario can be! I know the ED staff will be really thrilled to read your feedback, and I can assure you that they care deeply about what they do!

BCH is working hard to grow services for the community, and whilst we have an incredibly skilled and compassionate ED team, they will never be afraid to reach out to their colleagues at other health services for support - the health system is all the better for collaboration between services and we are proud to partner with so many great services.

I hope your toddler is doing OK now.
