We gave birth to our baby boy in January 2023, here at Bass Coast Health. From the get go - which was our first antenatal appointment, right through to antenatal classes and our delivery and after care, we really couldn't fault the staff we saw and care provided.
I felt the staff were so friendly and helpful. We came in just after a few busy days in maternity - but everyone was so thoughtful and caring. After an induction, and long labour - I ended in an emergency C section 29 hours after first being induced- however the staff couldn't be more accommodating.
A few special mentions to Louise, Holly, Bec, Maddi and Doctor Claire. Their unwavering support during such an emotional time was 10/10. And I felt the after care was wonderful too. We were fed, we slept, we were well looked after, it seemed nothing was ever too much trouble at any time of the day. I believe Bass Coast should be proud to have such a wonderful service being provided to those in need of both pre and post natal care.
Imagine how good I believe it's going to be when they also get new facilities in the stage 2 of the new hospital. Thankyou Bass Coast Health Maternity Unit for making the delivery of our special little boy - one to remember.
