"Emergency department"

About: Sale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Presented to emergency department with a sore lower leg, felt it pop during sports game the night before.

Had been crawling around at home as I can not walk, had my parent drive me in and kids with my relative,

Told by the nurse i seem to be walking fine, I should go to a gp its not a reason to be at emergency department

The senior Doctor then said go to gp for ultrasound you have done something to your hamstring.

(it is actually my calf)

Was told they will get me some strong pain meds to take home, then handed me some nurofen and panadol.

Told I needed crutches for 6-8 weeks.

Another nurse stepped in and was able to get me an ultrasound the same day, had 3 people come in to look and have been told its a deep tear just waiting for the report to be done and sent to gp.

End result is- I felt neither the nurse or doctor listened to what I said, and it seemed to me the doctor did not know their body parts.
