My child has very severe eczema and has done since infancy and as a clinician myself i know what it looks like and how it behaves.
Recently my child suddenly developed a pinprick rash that doesn't blanch, a sore throat and slight headache and the rash looks nothing like their eczema and covers their entire body. The rash isn't itcy and for the first time in years their eczema doesn't bother them either.
When we presented to the ED the triage nurse and paediatric nurse didn't look past the eczema, the interrupted halfway through us explaining why we were there and seemingly labelled my child a non priority and, I felt, didn't listen to anything we said. Absolute negligence in my opinion.
